November News

As we embark on the Thanksgiving holiday, we wish all our clients, partners, and associates a very safe and happy Thanksgiving.  We are grateful for each of you, and the progress we’ve made this year, both professionally and personally.  This past month, our client, The United Way of Central Indiana, was awarded both the “Merit Award for Architecture” and the “People’s Choice Award” at the Indy Chamber’s Monumental Awards- a huge honor amongst many deserving entries.  Our Nashville office celebrated a 2-year anniversary in their market, as well as a move to a larger office space with an open house!  We held our annual chili and dessert cookoff at our Fishers office, where new and old winners showed up, and lastly, we participated in the Little Red Door Cancer Agency’s Faces of Hope breakfast.  We are currently completing a major interior and exterior renovation of the LRD Indianapolis headquarters!

All of the clients featured this month are repeat clients that we’ve been honored to work with over the years. Additional projects photos can be viewed on our facebook page.  If you’re interested in talking with our us about a potential project or partnership, please contact Lauren Kriner at or 317.574.5488.

Again, a safe and happy Thanksgiving to all!

REIS NICHOLS JEWELERS, Indianapolis, IN – 7,500 Sq. Ft

Having completed an expansion of Reis Nichols‘ southside Indy store years ago, we were thrilled to have the opportunity to transform their northside gallery this year.  Partnering with Cooler DesignJill Duzan and the team at Reis Nichols, we undertook the 2,100-square foot expansion and entire store remodel of 7,500-square feet.  The store remained open for business throughout the duration of construction, and the improved gallery is unbelievable!  Natural light streams throughout the space, complete with private meeting rooms, and offerings of all the premier brands in jewelry.  Whether on Black Friday or during this holiday season, visit the new northside of Indy Reis for the perfect gifts and a first-class experience!

ED MARTIN ACURA, Indianapolis, IN- 13,000 Sq. Ft.

A longtime client in the auto industry, Ed Martin Auto Group, hired Capitol to remodel their Acura dealership on 96th Street on Indianapolis’ northside.  We remodeled the dealership in 2011 and expanded and remodeled it in 2006.  The dealership’s remodel touched the sales offices, restrooms, customer lounge, new car delivery room and service drive.  The entire shop and parking lot also received new LED lighting.  Kudos to our partners at Balay Architects and Diane McDaniel Designs for creating the classy looks for Ed Martin Acura guests!  We are also currently building the new Ed Martin Toyota in Noblesville, coming spring of 2018!

MITSCH DESIGN, Carmel, IN – 8,800 Sq. Ft.

After adding a furniture line and with a growing team of talented designers, Mitsch Design found they were quickly outgrowing their space at the Carmel Design Center.  We were excited to partner with Mitsch in building a much larger office and showroom just down the hall, offering 8,800 square feet including a library, staged furniture area, conference rooms and collaboration pods.  The Mitsch team is settled into their bright new space, and the city of Carmel is fortunate to have them with an even larger presence within their Design Center.

AAA INSURANCE & TRAVEL, Carmel, IN – 2,400 Sq. Ft.

Carmel’s Meridian & Main welcomed a new AAA that opened in October, offering travel, insurance, and membership services.  The 2,400-square foot space boasts the fresh new AAA look, designed by Indy-based Parallel Design Group.  Capitol also completed their Fishers space earlier this year.  The bustling Carmel shopping center they now call home is a must-visit to plan your next trip as a reprieve to the upcoming winter weather!
