Wow! Where did 2019 go and how are the holidays here? As we finish up projects around the country for some year-end rest, we reflect on how bright this year was, not just for our CCSI team, but for the construction and real estate industries. From the look of it, we predict 2020 will be just as bright!

We are proud of our team’s continued commitment to ensuring the safety of our onsite superintendents and subcontractors during construction. Our safety consultant, Safety Resources, awarded Capitol the 2019 “Commitment to Safety in Construction Award”, which is a result of our hard work in this critical area of work.

Our team also mourns the sudden passing of our long-time superintendent, Dennis Smolek, this year. We miss his bright smile and loyalty to our team and keep his family in our thoughts, especially during the holidays.

While we are featuring several great projects around the country, we are excited to announce some projects that opened this month in our own backyard of Fishers, IN, where there is a tremendous amount of growth, and where we’ve had lot of work this year. TIDE CLEANERS, Fishers, IN- 3,100 Sq. Ft

The community was excited to welcome Tide Cleaners to the Indy market in 2019, with the Shuel family as new franchisees for the brand. Through the acquisition of Deering Cleaners, Tide opened in five former Deering locations which our team converted, but their first ground-up, drive-thru project just opened this week in the busy area of 116th and Cumberland Road in Fishers, IN! Capitol enjoyed partnering with the Shuel’s, as well as Curran Architecture, to build the 5,800 square foot shell building, and the interior for Tide of 3,100 square feet. Hollywood Feed will be joining Tide as a co-tenant in 2020. Stop into the new store to experience the Tide difference!

101 BEER KITCHEN, Fishers, IN- 5,200 Sq. Ft

Columbus, OH-based 101 Beer Kitchen brought their popular comfort food and craft beer concept to the new Fishers District, opening their fourth restaurant, and first one in Indiana, on Monday! Owners Thad & Jess Kittrell are thrilled to bring a family-friendly lunch and dinner menu, cozy atmosphere, and tasty beverages to the Indy market in booming Fishers. The 5,200 square foot restaurant has an amazing outdoor patio with fireplace, that will open to the interior come warmer temps. 101- welcome to town! Columbus-based Design Collective designed the new restaurant!

SITEL, Fishers, IN- 44,000 Sq. Ft.

Capitol enjoyed working with Sitel, an international business solution provider, to renovate a 44,000 square foot space into a multiple call center. Sitel’s new home in Fishers, IN will house call center spaces specifically designed for their client’s needs. The partnership between Sitel, JLL as the Construction Manager and Schott Design who designed the wall plan and finishes was a success! The tight timeline was met for their first client to move-in this month.

PENN & BEECH CANDLE CO., Carmel, IN- 2,300 Sq. Ft.

Penn & Beech Candle Co. will be opening their second Indy area location in Carmel’s Midtown Plaza this month! The 2,300 square foot shop on the corner of Elm and Monon Blvd. will waft you in soon! Create your own scent or host a party, while enjoying a beverage in a beautiful area of downtown Carmel! We partnered with Schott Design and the Penn team to bring this fun project to life!

BURGERIM, Schaumburg, IL- 1,800 Sq. Ft.

Capitol’s Chicago team recently completed a Burgerim in Schaumburg, IL. The 1,800 square foot fast-casual burger joint was designed by Retail Design Consultants of Grand Rapids, MI and features seating for 40. Capitol is also building a second location in Oak Lawn, IL for the growing burger franchise.

PANERA BREAD, Jessup, MD- 4,800 Sq. Ft.

Capitol’s national team completed another 4,800 square foot ground-up Panera Bread with a drive-thru in Jessup, MD for local franchisee, Lemek, LLC. Being able to build a shell and interior is a treat for us, and usually makes for a quicker, more seamless, project for both the developer/franchisee and the tenant! MD-based L2M Architects was the designer on this project. We continue to have a strong relationship with Panera, who has nailed the fast-casual service!

MIDLAND ATLANTIC PROPERTIES, Indianapolis, IN- 3,100 Sq. Ft.

We have grown our business based on relationships, and a long-standing one is with regional retail developer and brokerage firm, Midland Atlantic Properties. From ground-up construction to interior buildouts, we have long-enjoyed working with the MA team. It was a privilege to build their new office, as they relocated within the Keystone at the Crossing area where we built their previous office. Designed by Indianapolis-based Parallel Design Group, the space boasts amazing views of Lake Clearwater, a beautiful break room and an open office concept. The Midland team will enjoy the Lake’s amenities come spring as well!

PLATINUM RECRUITING, Carmel, IN- 2,000 Sq. Ft.

Our team had the pleasure of building out the new Platinum Recruiting office in the Village of West Clay in Carmel, IN. The modern new office within the quaint “Village” on Indy’s Northside, is just over 2,000 square feet and was designed by Indianapolis-based Schott Design! The team loves their new environment from which to help their clients.
