Season Confusion!

September, 2023

It’s hard to believe that it’s officially fall, and around the Midwest, we are still experiencing lots of sunshine and heat!  We are keeping our fingers crossed that the warmer temps will keep those asphalt plants running as long as possible this fall.   Our team has had an active month of the final golf outings of the year, client, charity and community events.

Quarter three has wrapped up with some beautiful projects, which include a few more Starbucks, of course!  There’s also a sneak peek at the bottom of three projects that have just began, but that will be show stoppers in their own way.

We’ll be heading to Chicago in October to not only visit our local team, but to attend the Central ICSC convention.  If you’ll be there and are interested in meet up, please reach out!

TIPSY MERMAID- Zionsville, IN- 4,000 Sq. Ft.

Key West-inspired within the quaint Town of Zionsville, Tipsy Mermaid made a splash on Main Street when they opened in July in the 100+ year-old house just east of their sister restaurant, Noah Grant’s Grill House and Oyster Bar. Established restauranteur Shari Jenkins has had a longtime love of the island and worked with local David Rausch Studio to design every detail with inspiration from Hemingway and Buffet. Our team took over to gut, expand, and finish out the project. From specialty cocktails to the extensive culinary spread, the age 18+ restaurant is the perfect spot to post up on the porch, at the bar, or when dining in. Sunday brunch arrives this fall.

FRANCES & PARKE- Zionsville, IN- 2,500 Sq. Ft.

Continuing along Zionsville’s Main Street, an established local boutique has a new location! Frances + Parke clothing and accessories shop moved just up the street to a larger space and opened this month. They offer both men’s and women’s fashions in a stylish way, making good use of a former bank space in the quaint town. Frances & Parke is open daily for residents and visitors to check out!

STARBUCKS- Noblesvile, IN- 2,250 Sq. Ft.

Making the commute a little sweeter… a new Starbucks with drive-thru opened this month off Herriman Blvd. in Noblesville. Our third Starbucks development project with MI-based developer, Elia Group, the 2,250 SF cafe was designed locally by Curran Architecture. The Noblesville, Indiana residents have long-awaited this key location to fill in the “coffee gap”.  We love the smooth process of building for a developer and Starbucks!

BLO BLOW DRY BAR- Carmel, IN- 1,600 Sq. Ft.

There is nothing more flattering than the opportunity to work with a client multiple times…except for maybe a fresh “blo”-out Now open 7 days a week, Theresa Shadley is the proud owner/operator of Indy’s second Blo Blow Dry Bar in Carmel’s busy Bridges shopping center. No special occasion needed to experience the fun and beauty that this space exudes, designed by OH-based L|P, offering a variety of hair styles and makeup services for all ages and hair types. Book your self-care session today at the Fishers OR Carmel location!

JET ACCESS- INDIANAPOLIS, IN- 12,000 Sq. Ft.

As full-service aviation management company, Jet Access continues to grow and enhance their offerings, they had a need for a larger office and are relocating to the NE side of Indy’s One Concourse. A JLL PDS-managed project, the team worked with Schott Design to layout the 12,000+ SF headquarters to meet their cutting edge needs. Not only does Jet Access offer flight charters and sales, but also maintenance, storage, and training. We are proud to have a locally opened operation of this caliber in our backyard.

ACTION BEHAVIOR CENTER- MOORESVILLE, NC- 5,700 Sq. Ft.

Providing quality services and education for children with autism is a growing need around the country. Our Chicago team has been working with Action Behavior Center around the country, having just completed a 5,700 buildout in the Charlotte suburb of Mooresville, and have three other centers under construction in other parts of the country. OH-based Macrae Architecture is working with ABC on their expansion plans.

STARBUCKS- FISHERS, IN- 2,200 Sq. Ft.

Another week, another new Starbucks opens! Last week the cafe at 96th and Lantern Road in Fishers relocated to a stand-alone cafe with a drive-thru.  Our team completed the interior buildout for Starbucks.
