A Time to be Grateful

November, 2020

There is probably no one out there who wouldn’t admit this has been a tough year.  And here we are, having just celebrated Thanksgiving, with one month left before it’s over.  While we have continued to be bombarded with news of politics and sickness, we think it’s time to focus on what is good, what we are grateful for, and what isn’t cancelled! Let’s bring in the holiday season with joyful hearts and kindness to each other.

We are so grateful for our many clients, old and new, a cohesive team, generous ownership, and supportive industry partners.  For our families who have pivoted to make things work and keep the wheels spinning.

During November, our team headed up a virtual table and fundraised for our friends at Little Red Door Cancer Agency at their Faces of Hope annual breakfast, which raised $422,000 for the area’s cancer patients.  We also celebrated the marriage of Assistant PM, Cameron Ohl, to his lovely bride, Anna Kate. In addition, our VP of Business Development, Lauren Kriner, was recognized by Commercial Construction & Renovation magazine as one of four “Women of Honor” in 2020, nominated by her peers.

Our projects below show some diversity of our capabilities around the Midwest.  They can be viewed on our facebook page. As always, if you’re interested in talking further about our work or a potential project, please contact Lauren Kriner!  Enjoy the holiday season!  Be grateful!

PRIMROSE SCHOOL- Westfield, IN- 11,635 Sq. Ft.

Primrose at Grand Park is now open, offering high quality childcare and curriculum for infants through pre-kindergarten, in an amazing location by the Grand Park Sports Complex in Westfield, IN! The 11,635 square foot school offers first-class amenities, in a safe setting for children. Day-care design specialists, Children’s Design Group out of Alabama, credited for architecture. Check it out today!

KKBB SALON- Fishers, IN- 1,800 Sq. Ft.

While we finished up the new KKBB Salon in Fishers District just before the lockdown, the virus severely postponed the arrival of the salon’s beautiful entry glass, delaying our photo shoot until recently. Well, it was worth the wait! The new KKBB feels much larger than its former location with high ceilings, can accommodate more guests and is in the heart of the coolest new area in our home City of Fishers. It was so fun working with the KKBB team and Delv Design on this labor of love, from budget through completion.

VALVOLINE- Liberty Township, OH- 3,000 Sq. Ft.

Auto service is an area that continues to experience growth! Our Chicago team completed their first ground-up Valvoline Instant Oil Change in Liberty Township, OH. The 3,000 square foot service station includes service bays, lube pits, offices, and a waiting room. OH-based CESO designed the new location.

STARBUCKS, Westfield, IN- 2,140 Sq. Ft.

The residents of Westfield, IN are thrilled to have another Starbucks WITH a drive thru, which opened last week! We relocated this cafe to a new building across the street, knocked through the side of the building and added a drive thru, which their former location did not have. Michigan-based The Design Forum was on point for the 2,140 SF cafe, that offers both interior and patio seating. Welcome “back” to the neighborhood!

GOOD NEIGHBOR- Indianapolis, IN- 1,900 Sq. Ft.

Detroit-based Good Neighbor will open their second boutique in downtown Indy’s Bottleworks development in the coming months! Their new space, designed by Indy-based Ratio, is just shy of 2,000 square feet and will soon be stocked with unique women’s, men’s and baby clothing and accessories. The former Coca Cola bottling plant has been transformed by Hendricks Commercial, and Good Neighbor is the first of several projects that our team is completing in this historic building! Welcome to Indy, Good Neighbor!

OCTAPHARMA, Southfield, MI- 10,200 Sq. Ft

Our Chicago team completed an Octapharma Plasma donation center in Southfield, MI. The 10,200 sq. ft. space was designed by Archetype Design Group of Leawood, KS and included donor rooms, a break room, offices and a plasma processing area.
