| It’s May in Indy and almost all things are about the track- i.e. “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing”! Our team was able to enjoy an afternoon at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway this month, watching the teams practice and work together to create a winner for this year’s race. Indy turned out perfect weather this year for a record-setting Indy 500 over the holiday weekend, and we continue to have pride for our home City that shines when all eyes are on our Hoosier hospitality! Our team also raced out to Las Vegas this month for a revisit to the International Council of Shopping Centers largest event. While attendance was still lighter than pre-pandemic numbers, we were energized by the quality of retailers, developers, brokers and consultants that were present. Indy also welcomed a new Capitol baby! Assistant Project Manager Anna Jurgen and her husband, Jake, welcomed their special delivery, Calvin James, several weeks early. Baby Calvin is getting stronger and bigger every day, and Mom is recovering well. We are still looking to add qualified team members as traveling superitendents. We hope you enjoyed a peaceful Memorial Day holiday, honoring those that have fallen for our freedom. It’s now time to bring on summer!
LOW COST SPAY & NEUTER CLINIC- Noblesville, IN- 12,000 Sq. Ft.As the Low Cost Spay Neuter Clinic found the need for increased space due to the demand of helping control pet overpopulation, they acquired the Indiana Landmark Gascho House in Noblesville, IN, built in the late 1800’s. Sitting on 5.5 acres, our team partnered with Low Cost to keep the home’s bones, gut and remodel it, while adding on 9,500 square feet to create a new home with 500% more space! Indy-based CR Stafford & Associates partnered with both teams to keep the farmhouse integrity, but create a home with a surgical center, vaccine clinic and staff offices that will work for the Low Cost for years to come, as they service 35,000+ dogs and cats a year.
DIAMONDS DIRECT- Schaumburg, IL- 6,000 Sq. Ft.Just outside the retail mecca of the Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, IL, our travelling team recently finished their 6th project for growing jeweler Diamonds Direct. The 6,000 square foot outlot building was previously a restaurant, and we worked with the team at Little Diversified Architectural Consulting to convert the interior and exterior to elicit the Diamonds brand. We currently have another Diamonds under construction in neighboring suburb, Oakbrook, and will be soon starting a store in Aventura, FL!
VUORI- Nashville, TN- 3,200 Sq. Ft.Our Chicago team completed their second project for growing athleisure-wear retailer, Vuori, just south of downtown Nashville. The transformation of a 3,200 square foot former restaurant shop was incredible, and both the interior and exterior underwent extensive changes, designed by TN-based Barnett Design Studio, to allow Vuori to open this month with a bang! Vuori has been delighted working with our Chicago team on both the Rush Street (Chicago) location and Nashville, and we are bidding several other national locations for the brand.
D1 Training- Carmel, IN- 4,000 Sq. Ft.Ready for elite training or take your workouts up a notch? D1 Training has opened their 3rd Indy-area location in Carmel, offering their five-star training program for individuals or groups, starting at 7 years old through adults of any age. Anyone looking to obtain their goal and experience programs backed by science, needs to experience the D1 difference. The nearly 4,000 square foot facility, designed by STG, is offering free classes through the end of the month!
PARKWOOD 4 LOBBY- Indianapolis, IN- 8,500 Sq. Ft.What a difference a lobby remodel can make for a tenant and guest experience in an office building! Our tenant improvement team recently wrapped up some beautiful changes at Parkwood 4 on Indy’s northside, courtesy of Parallel Design Group, that included all new flooring, wall finishes, upgraded lighting, elevator caps and art. The PDS team at JLL was instrumental in creating a smooth process with an outcome to be proud of!
EVERBOWL- Brownsburg, IN- 1,515 Sq. Ft.Get your favorite superfoods at the new Everbowl in the town of Brownsburg, which officially opened this month! It was a pleasure working with the Gray family to create their first location, offering healthy bowls and smoothies with food straight from the earth! Congratulations on bringing goodness to this community!
STARBUCKS- Radcliff, KY- 2,900 Sq. Ft.Our team undertook a great conversion project in the city of Radcliff, Kentucky to the southwest of Louisville, converting a former bank to a new Starbucks! The 2,900 SF cafe features a drive thru, outdoor patio, and was designed by TN-based MJM Architects. There are no signs of slowing down for the premier coffee brand.
XERCOR- Indianapolis, IN- 5,100 Sq. Ft.While most of the work that we’ve done for Hendricks Commercial Properties has been within their iconic mixed-use projects, our team is also completing projects in their Class A office of Woodfield III in the Indy market. We recently relocated insurance company Xercor from across the street to a 5,100 square foot first-floor space, that offers them natural daylight and a better mix of space, created by Indy-based Schott Design. The suburban office market continues to have a lot of movement!
PRICKLY PEAR COFFEE- Nashville, TN- Lobby KioskAs we’ve mentioned time and again, office landlords continue to add amenities to their Class A buildings, providing onsite conveniences for their tenants. Congrats to Prickly Pear Coffee on the grand opening of their espresso bar in the lobby of the iconic Batman building in Nashville! The local coffee shop makes it easy to caffeinate any time of the day. Great job by our southern team and design team ASD|Sky!
