| Keep Calm- Summer is On! We raced through May, literally and figuratively here in Indy, with an exciting finish to the 103rd Indy 500 and honoring our heroes on Memorial Day! Temps are on the rise, and if the rain stays away, we will be making some strong progress on our ground-up projects around the region. We attended ICSC ReCon in Las Vegas last week, the world’s largest retail convention, and found the areas of food, fitness, auto and healthcare to be the hottest ones for growth, and all areas in which we are doing a lot of work! MARQUETTE MANOR, Indianapolis, IN- 10,000 Sq. Ft.
Phase I of the Health Center remodel at Marquette Manor is complete! All areas of the approximately 10,000 square feet received new finishes that included paint, flooring, lighting and a nurse’s station overhaul. Up next is five more phases of the same, and a sixth phase that just began, creating a 3,500 square foot expansion of a new Health Center entrance. This prestigious senior care facility in Indianapolis worked with Atlanta-based THW Design on the changes we carried out.
FLEXWARE INNOVATION, Fishers, IN- 30,000 Sq. Ft.
Our Indy team was excited to break ground this month on a headquarter relocation that has been in the works for about a year. Flexware Innovation, a growing software firm that works with manufacturers, is moving just west to Municipal Drive. Their new building will be three stories and 30,000 square feet, and was designed by Curran Architecture and Parallel Design Group. The Flexware team is proud to stay in Fishers as they meet the needs of their team and fuel their passions.
BLACKWOOD BBQ, Chicago, IL- 1,500 Sq. Ft
A new Blackwood BBQ is now open on W. Adams St. in downtown Chicago. Capitol’s Chicago team completed the 1,500 sq. ft. interior build-out with MAI Architects of Claypool, IN designing the space. The restaurant is open for breakfast, too. The growing BBQ concept sources local meat and has a welcoming atmosphere!
HUMANA MEMBER EXPERIENCE CENTER, Covington, KY- 3,300 Sq. Ft.
Capitol’s national team completed the Humana MEC project in Covington KY. This is a 3,300 SF Medicare supplemental insurance sales office that offers health maintenance, learning seminars and senior activity classes for its local members. This was the second office build out of Humana’s new member centers that will be opening nationwide this year, and Capitol’s 24th project for Humana in the last 8 years. Chicago-based Interior Architects designed the new space.
MASSAGE ENVY, Avon, IN- 3,200 Sq. Ft.
Capitol recently worked with a past client on an open remodel at her Massage Envy spa in Avon, IN. The bright changes throughout the 3,200 square foot space included adding new flooring, paint, cabinetry and displays. The spa’s guests are really enjoying the new changes, and the business remained open throughout the conversion!
