The Sunshine after the Rain

May, 2020

Are you feeling hopeful?  We hope so, because we are!  We just came off an unusual weekend in Indy- the annual running of the “Greatest Spectacle in Racing”  has been postponed to August- coupled with some very warm weather, but we are seeing life in businesses reopening and families spending time together over a long weekend.  We see smiles (even through masks!), increased activity and pent up demand at the restaurants and retailers that are open!

As some of our other clients look to reopen, or ease into the new “normal”, Capitol is offering disinfecting services, along with touchless hardware options, and anti-bacterial materials and systems.  Please contact your Project Manager if you’re interested in learning more about how we can help you create a safe environment for your team and clients.

Additional photos of this month’s featured projects can be viewed on our facebook page. As always, if you’re interested in talking further about our work or a potential project, please contact Lauren Kriner!  Please continue to stay safe and healthy- We look forward to seeing more of you in person very soon!

The Goddard School of Noblesville will be Grand Opening on June 15th and turned out beautiful! The 10,800 square foot school will be offering premium childcare and educational opportunities for area children. The Greek family is proud to expand the Goddard brand when there is such high demand for quality childcare. Fishers-based Leech-Hensley Architects provided design support on this project, part of Revel & Underwood’s Union Chapel development.

LANTER EYE CARE, Noblesville, IN-10,600 Sq. Ft.

Just in time for their post-shutdown reopening, Capitol’s interior team completed a 2,800 square foot remodel for Lanter Eye Care at their North Indianapolis location. The eye care and eye surgery provider has been a long-time leader in their industry, and it was time for a facelift. Architectural Solutions Consulting provided the upgrades on design!

IHOP, Elkhart, IN- 4,5 00 Sq. Ft.

Will we start seeing more conversions post-pandemic? We recently completed a 4,500 square foot conversion of a Culver’s in Elkhart, IN to an IHOP. Atlanta-based MRP Design Group was responsible for the plans, and Capitol built the exterior parapet as well as the interior renovations.

Our Nashville team recently completed their first project on the beautiful campus of Vanderbilt University! The 4,000 square foot office of the Vice Chancellor of Public Safety was fully remodeled and redesigned by ASD|SKY of Nashville. We’re hoping this is our first of many projects for their team, managed by CBRE.

APOTHECO, Carmel, IN- 2,800 Sq. Ft

It’s always exciting to help bring a new concept to town! Thanks to a broker friend at JLL, we had the pleasure of working with NY-based Apotheco, who will be opening their first IN store very soon at 12955 Old Meridian in Carmel. The clinically-focused dermatological pharmacy will offer patients a variety of skin treatment options. Chicago-based Whitney Architects designed the 2,800 square foot space, which will have shelves stocked any day!
