| We blinked, and Q1 is over, it’s officially spring, and our teams are enthusiastic about longer days! March always seems to be filled with Madness, and not just basketball. Our Midwestern temps swing from near freezing to near tropical, and everything in between, keeping us on our toes and creatively working through it all. Our business developers attended SPECS in Dallas this month, which brought together retailers, consultants and vendors to learn about the ever-changing environment of retail. It’s inspiring to share best practices, make new connections, and hear from industry leaders on how their brands continue to grow. We also celebrated “Women in Construction” month. Our team of ladies, from administration through project management, really are a huge element of success in our male-dominated industry. We work to spark continued interest from females looking to make a difference in construction. INDY LUXE ATELIER- Carmel, IN – 3,100 Sq. Ft.What is not uncommon in our local markets is for a potential client to engage us as they are evaluating different spaces for their move. Such was the case with husband/wife team, The Frankum’s, as their med spa team was outgrowing their existing space in Carmel. Indy Luxe Atelier has since settled into a beautiful 3,100 square foot space along Main Street in the new Signature Shoppes project, designed by Progress Studio. From facials, to injections, or dietetic consulting, all services from the ILA team are provided by nurse practicioners or physician’s assistants. It was a pleasure to work with the ILA team on bringing their new space to life, now serving client needs daily. 
ANDY’S FROZEN CUSTARD- Lutz, FL- 2,000 Sq. Ft.When we see sunshine, our minds go to cold, sweet treats! Cue the delectable homemade custard of nearly 40 years, Andy’s Frozen Custard. Our Chicago team just completed their third project for the growing brand, a ground-up 2,000 SF building designed by BUF Studio in the northern Tampa suburb of Lutz, FL. Their menu is always in season, especially in Florida, with a covered outdoor seating area, as well as drive-thru option. 
PIADA- Avon, IN – 2,500 Sq. Ft.Since Piada Italian Street Food has not expanded in central Indiana recently, our team was thrilled to build their newest restaurant in the area. Their 2,500 square foot location in Avon, IN will open next Friday, offering the fresh pasta, salads and sandwiches their followers have grown to love. KY-based The Roberts Group designed the fresh space, which is on the endcap of one of Harvest Landing’s outlot building, adjacent to the Milkshake Factory we are now building, and the Bibibop Asian Grill that we completed early this year. 
FIRST FARMERS BANK & TRUST- Carmel, IN – 3,400 Sq. Ft.Another project in the City of Carmel’s new “Ollie” building is complete, as First Farmers Bank & Trust will be moving in the coming weeks and opening up their 3,400 square foot office branch in April! The two-story space, elegantly designed by K4 Architecture + Design, has a prime location, just across the breezeway from our other client,1933 Lounge, that will be opening at the same time. The team at First Farmers has been delightful to work with, and we have no doubt their new space will reflect the professionalism that their team exudes. 
BARNES & NOBLE CAFE REFRESH- Murfreesboro, TN – 800 Sq. Ft.Retail is all about experiences, and retailers have to keep things fresh and clean. Our TN team recently refreshed a Barnes & Noble cafe in Murfreesboro, TN, with new ceilings, paint and backsplash over a quick 4-days. Another one is on the docket for a refresh in May, and we are happy to do these smaller projects that make a big difference in a shoppers experience! 
STARBUCKS- Marion, IN- 2,500 Sq. Ft.The town of Marion, IN is buzzing with a new Starbucks that opened along the busy Baldwin Ave. this month! Our team completed the interior buildout of the 2,500 square foot cafe, designed by international design firm NORR. Marion is now a two-Starbucks town! 
GPD GROUP- Indianapolis, IN- 9,100 Sq. Ft.These “blank” spaces are changing, as the creative minds of GPD Group moving in to their new Indy HQ today! The AEP firm will be soon crafting out of their new 9,100 square foot office in Crosspoint on the Northside. In working with Parallel Design Group, GPD’s team designed their space with private offices and collaborative spaces to help their national presence grow. SNEAK PEEKThere has already been a “little bit” of hype surrounding the new 1933 Lounge in Carmel! It was our privilege to experience a sneak peek of this beautiful restaurant over the weekend and help our friends Huse Culinary celebrate its highly-anticipated opening tomorrow, Tuesday, April 1st (no joke). This location, ambience and culinary offerings is a home run. This was our fourth project for the hometown brand of high-end restaurants, and we look forward to our next one.
