Summer Fun has Begun!

June has been National Safety Month. Our focus everyday is for our team and subcontractors to go home safely. This month, our Safety Manager, Todd, visited jobsites with our consultant, Safety Resources, to reinforce our quarterly training practices and ensure field teams are equipped to handle the summer heat.

Our team is also making a continuous effort to inspire others to consider careers in construction. We have summer interns both in the office and field, learning what they can about different projects and construction methods.

We had a variety of projects wrap up this month, all in our core areas of expertise: office interiors, restaurants, auto and non-profits.  It’s always great to make progress on ground up projects as well when the weather is on our side.

COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF HANCOCK COUNTY-

Greenfield, IN- 10,800 Sq. Ft.

As the charitable footprint grew for Community Foundation of Hancock County, the Greenfield, IN-based non-profit found a need for more space and found it at a former church on Main Street. It was a pleasure engaging with their team, RATIO and RJE Business Interiors early in the process, to transform the 10,800 SF space of worship to an auditorium, office and gathering spaces for the community. In addition to a recent rebrand, CFHC is now in a spot to better administer grants, host events and enhance the lives of Hancock County.

BARTACO- Chicago, IL- 6,000 Sq. Ft.

We are drooling over the character oozing from the new Bartaco in Chicago’s Bucktown neighborhood! The 6,000 square foot restaurant, designed by locally based Aria Group Architects, Inc. , is our Chicago team’s 2nd project for the growing neighborhood drop-in, with more to come. Fans are coming from around the City to grab some of their favorite South American cravings!

BGBC PARTNERS- Indianapolis, IN- 20,000 Sq. Ft.

There’s nothing like soaring views from a downtown Indy tower on a beautiful summer day- you can see for miles! Our friends BGBC Partners, LLP have a new 20,000 SF office with some of the best. The CPA form relocated from another downtown location and partnered with Parallel Design Group to create a space that meets their evolving needs.

JIFFY LUBE- Manahawkin, NJ- 3,400 Sq. Ft.

Our Chicago team completed another project for growing auto-service provider Jiffy Lube just outside of Long Beach Island in Manahawkin, NJ. The 3,400 SF ground up project included bringing utilities, as well as all sitework and construction, designed by St. Louis-based CASCO. The need for affordable, quality auto care continues to grow around the country.

MOCHINUT- Plainfield, IN- 1,515 Sq. Ft.

The magic that is Mochinut is now available in Indiana! As of this month, you can experience the donuts that originated from Hawaii in Plainfield, IN! We loved working with local restauranteur JD and his team in building their new dream, with additional locations coming in Fishers & Greenwood. Visit downtown Plainfield to experience Mochinut’s light rice floor donuts, bubble tea or soft serve. Greenwood-based Lehner Designs helped the team with creating their space. Wishing this new business the best as they treat the communities they’re growing in!

BUBBLELICIOUS- Greenwood, IN- 2,100 Sq. Ft.

The latest in boba is now open in central Indiana at Simon Property Group’s  Greenwood Park Mall! Bubblelicious has a new 2,100 SF space on Indy’s southside, serving up delicious bubble teas. Constructing spaces in open malls is not for the faint of heart, but our team works hard to make the process as non-disruptive as possible for mall owners and guests. Designed by Curran Architecture, stop by Bubblelicious and grab your favorite flavor, then browse some of the mall’s great shops.

TRUIST BANK- Franklin, TN- 3,600 Sq. Ft.

While Capitol’s southern team continues to grow its portfolio in office tenant improvement work one tower at a time!  They just wrapped up a new 3,600 square foot office for Truist Bank in Franklin’s Bowers Park Buildings.  CBRE led the team as Construction Manager and locally based ASD|Sky was the design partner.

CALIBER COLLISION- Evansville, IN- 47,000 Sq. Ft.

Retail landlords are seeing “big box” conversions all around the country.  Our Chicagoland team recently completed one in Evansville, IN, when they remade a vacant Toys R’ Us into a Caliber Collision. It’s one of the biggest Caliber’s that we have ever built, at nearly 47,000 square feet! Tx-based Bret Flory designed the re-use. Our work with this growing auto service provider continues to grow around the country.

AMELIA’S- Indianapolis, IN- 1,700 Sq. Ft.

What’s better than local homemade breads, pastries, espresso drinks and specialty grocery items? The newest location for Amelia’s is now serving guests at their Stutz building cafe! The 1,700 square foot bakery, designed by DELV Design, offers new customers and longtime fans another option on the near westside of Downtown Indy. You’ll be tempted by the amazing smells just walking by.
