Signs of spring are sprouting, the days are getting longer, and we have hope that the brutal Midwestern winter is on its way OUT! Our crews are taking advantage of the longer days, thawing soils, and sunshine, in order to make progress on projects near and far.

HERTZ CONFERENCE CENTER, Indianapolis, IN – 15,000 Sq. Ft.
Downtown Indianapolis’ Capitol Center recently underwent a major renovation of their second floor, creating a new conference center with private rooms and collaboration areas, as well as a “Nexus Room”. The spaces had not been updated since the 1980’s, and the landlord, Hertz, invested in making some big changes! The 15,000-square foot space overlooks the sprawling Cap Center lobby and was creatively designed by Indianapolis-based Schott Design!
DXL OUTLET, Lancaster, PA – 7,000 Sq. Ft
Capitol completed our 30th store for DXL, a leading retailer for tall and large men, with the addition of their outlet store in Lancaster, PA. The new store, part of the Rockvale Outlets, occupies a 7,000-square foot endcap and involved a 10-week construction schedule over the holidays. CMA out of Minneapolis was the project architect. We have enjoyed working with the DXL team as their brand has grown around the country!
CASTLE CREEK IV LOBBY, Indianapolis, IN- 1,900 Sq. Ft.
Following the trend of landlords updating their building lobbies and common areas, making spaces more attractive and useful to tenants, Capitol recently completed a 29,000 SF renovation project at Zeller Realty’s Castle Creek IV in the Castleton submarket. The remodel created an atrium feature wall that includes elements of lighting, texture, and planting arrangements. There is new carpet, tile, and wall covering in both the lobby and corridors. In addition to the new lighting, we also constructed a digital directory and updated the elevator cabs. Tenants and visitors are loving the modern changes! Carmel-based Mitsch Design worked with the Zeller Realty to design the new space!
RTS FINANCIAL, Franklin, TN – 7,300 Sq. Ft.
Capitol’s Nashville team completed a 7,300 square foot office for RTS Financial in Franklin, TN’s Eight Corporate Centre. The construction manager was Hall Emery and the designer was Nashville-based Lines, Inc. This was the first project with Hall Emery, formerly Spectrum Emery, and our second project with their team is now underway!
LANDMARK CENTER LOBBY, Indianapolis, IN – 2,600 Sq. Ft.
When New Jersey-based Fairbridge Properties acquired downtown Indianapolis’ Landmark Center, and a large tenant vacated the building, the owner hired our team to upgrade the lobby with modern finishes. Shive Hattery, a Midwestern architecture and engineering firm who we worked with on renovations to Indianapolis’ BMO Plaza, designed the improvements to the space. Capitol will be renovating the building’s amenities center in the next phase of work.
