THE HOPE OF SPRING!

FEBRUARY, 2026

As February comes to a close, there is a noticeable sense of momentum building. The start of the year has brought strong activity across our markets, with job sites moving and new projects taking shape. Even in the middle of winter, there’s real optimism as plans turn into progress.

Our team participated in the annual Million Meal Movement at Gainbridge Fieldhouse this month. We love this yearly tradition of spending a few hours working together to pack boxes of meals for the food insecure in our community.  We also spread the love to those we love and brought out our creative sides- making homemade cards for Valentine’s Day.

We’re grateful for the clients and partners who continue to trust our team — and we’re excited to share a few project highlights from the month below. If you would like to connect with our team, please reach out to Lauren Hughes!

Vice President of Construction, Kevin Schott, celebrated 23 years with Capitol Construction this month. Kevin started with Capitol as a laborer after high school and made his way through roles as superintendent, into project management and has been one of the company’s owners for the past 10 years. Kevin still manages our Starbucks account and runs restaurant and specialty projects.  We are grateful for Kevin’s dedication to the team and his leadership as the company grows and evolves.

AUDI INDIANAPOLIS- Indianapolis, IN- 26,400 Sq. Ft.

Automotive

The sun is shining on the newly completed remodel of the Audi Indianapolis on 96th Street. Our team remodeled the 26,400 square foot auto showroom while the dealership remained open for sales and service. Columbus, OH-based Architectural Alliance designed the upgraded finishes for the spaces, aligning the brand’s image with the experience of walking through the doors. It is a privilege to continue working with the Tom Wood Group on their facilities around Indy. Great job to our team leaders and sub partners for executing another detailed project!

COLBY EQUIPMENT- Indianapolis, IN – 8,500 Sq. Ft.

Tenant Improvement

What a refresh this turned out to be! The headquarters for Colby Equipment, one of the largest wholesalers of HVAC equipment in the Midwest, was ready to update their 1970’s building. With creative direction from Inhabit | Space and Falkbuilt, our team transformed the 8,500 square foot office over the winter, in preparation for the Colby team to move back in this month. The generational family business of Colby has reinvested in their future, defining their flexible culture and passion for collaboration. It’s night and day!

Restaurant

We love bringing fresh concepts to new markets! Naked Farmer is offering locally-sourced healthy foods to communities across the South, with their new American fare restaurants. Our Chicago team completed our first project with the growing brand in Charlotte, NC, a 2,100 square foot eatery designed by Studio Latofiume out of LA. We are starting another location in Nashville next week, and we look forward to continuing to help Naked Farmer sustainably grow!
