While we have all probably felt like every day is groundhog’s day from time to time, this month’s Day revealed another six weeks of winter. Of course, we’ve already been teased this month with sunshine and warmer temps, bringing hope of winter conditions ending. Here in Indy, we’re predicting snow for the Indy 500…hopefully the joke’s on us.
The year’s shortest month has flown by, and we had a number of projects that wrapped up around the country, almost all of which were for repeat clients. We love that testimony to our work and team. Our goal is to grow with our clients and help them make their projects successful, wherever they are. Although there is a lot of chatter about the possibility of a slowdown in commercial real estate activity, we are not yet seeing the trend, nor are our consultant partners.

Ed Martin Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM has moved around the corner in the City of Anderson, IN and has reopened in the completely remodeled former home of their Toyota dealership on Scatterfield Road. Our team has enjoyed a 15-year relationship with the Ed Martin Auto Group and ironically built the original building this project just moved into. There was an extensive interior and exterior remodel of the nearly 30,000 square foot building, designed by krM Architecture+, carried out over the last 9 months, reflecting the latest upgrades to the brands represented. The Ed Martin team is ready to take care of all of your car needs in their new location.
TRACTOR SUPPLY- Harborcreek, PA- 22,000 Sq. Ft.
The Erie, PA suburb of Harborcreek recently welcomed Tractor Supply Co.to their community! Our travelling team completed our second project for NC-based developer Primax Properties, providing a turn-key building for the nearly 22,000 SF Tractor Supply, including the shell and sitework. Helt Design worked with the team on design. Our next project with Primax is a new Kiddie Academy daycare in Tennessee.
HOT BOX PIZZA- Indianapolis, IN- 1,100 Sq. Ft.
The Indianapolis International Airport Food Court is excited to welcome legendary pizza chain Hot Box Pizza to the mix for locals and visitors grabbing a bite! The 1,100 square foot space, formerly occupied by Qdoba, is now host to making famous breadsticks and pizza. Designed by Chicago-based Silhouette Design Architecture, Hot Box is now open! Next up for our team at the Airport is the continued remodel of Harry & Izzy’s and a new location for The Tap.
SPRIG + PLATE- Indianapolis, IN- 2,400 Sq. Ft.
You can now experience “art you can eat” easier than before as Sprig + Plate opened a brick and mortar location just east of Keystone on 96th Street. Chef Molly Wilson and her team are creating beautiful boards, boxes and cups with almost anything you can think of! Stop in for a gift card, order online, or follow social to see what prepared foods are being offered weekly. You don’t even need a party to attend in order to enjoy what Sprig + Plate offers.
RENOVIA- Franklin, TN- 5,000 Sq. Ft.
It was a pleasure to work with Indy-based Renovia on their Nashville office move! We built the painting and coatings company’s first TN office years ago, and it’s always rewarding to do it again, especially with the growth they’ve experienced. Congrats on your nearly 5,000 square foot office in Franklin, designed by Sorci & Swords.
CARTER’S | OSHKOSH- Indianapolis, IN- 4,700 Sq. Ft.
These displays are about to be filled with the cutest kids’ pajamas, clothes and accessories! Our team finished up our 10th project for Carter’s | OshKosh in our own backyard at Kite Realty Group’s Glendale Town Center. The 4,700 square foot store will be opening in early March and was designed by TX-based Cortland Morgan Architect. This will be such a great addition to the strong tenant mix at this prominent redevelopment!
VCA CATOOSA- Ringgold, GA- 1,200 Sq. Ft.
There is no slowing down the need for quality pet care, and our teams continue to work with growing brands around the country. Our Chicago office has long worked with VCA Animal Hospitals and just wrapped up a 1,200 square foot building addition and interior renovation of VCA Catoosa in Ringgold, GA. Indy-based M.D. Architects, who designed the project, has also been a long time partner on the VCA’s.
STARBUCKS- Lima, OH- 2,500 Sq. Ft.
Reuse of buildings is happening everywhere we turn. We had fun converting a former Steak N’ Shake into a Starbucks in the NW Ohio city of Lima. The 2,500 SF cafe, designed by GPD Group, opened this month, just in time for another 6 weeks of winter! Our travelling Starbucks team completed all interior construction on this project.
