February News

“Keep your face always towards the sunshine- and shadows will fall behind you.” Walt Whitman

February, 2022

We blinked and it’s going to be March tomorrow!  Mother Nature is teasing us with the occasional warmer temps, longer days, and some sunshine that bring us hope that the winter gray is on its way out!

On a serious note, our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Ukraine, as they face the daily fears of being invaded.  This situation is affecting humankind and the entire globe and our hope is that peace will overcome.

As an industry, our activity is staying very busy and steady with new projects.  Most projects that were on “hold” are moving forward and adjusting to the “new normal” of supply chain delays and increased material costs.  Communication with our clients and building partners remains the key to success!

Below are some exciting projects we are showcasing from around the Midwest. If you have questions or are interested in working with our team, please contact Lauren Kriner!

SHANNON’S EXCLUSIVE CHILD CARE- Indianapolis, IN- 17,000 Sq. Ft.

The need for quality childcare has continued to grow, and as a result, the Hege family just opened Shannon’s Exclusive Child Care at Geist this mo! Shannon’s offers low child to teacher ratios in large classrooms. It was our pleasure to provide a big refresh to a former daycare facility and make it home for Shannon’s, with the assistance of MTM Architecture. Shannon’s is now open M-F, 7a-5:30p and has room for new littles in the community! The nearly 17,000 SF building includes classrooms and an amazing gym facility. Congrats to the Hege family!

BLO BLOW DRY BAR- Fishers, IN- 1,200 Sq. Ft.

It is always exciting to bring a new concept to town, and we loved working with past client Theresa Shadley on building out Blo Blow Dry Bar in our hometown of Fishers, IN. Blo is now open for walk-ins, appointments, and memberships, helping provide self-care opportunities for all!

CHASE POINT CAPITAL- Indianapolis, IN- 1,000 Sq. Ft.

It was a pleasure to work with commercial real estate firm, Chase Point Capital, on their new 1,000 SF office in the Keystone Crossing Office Park, Indianapolis. Luminaut Rowland Design used their creative magic to make the boutique space feel large, bright and welcoming!

VALVOLINE- Portage, MI- 3,700 Sq. Ft.

Our Chicago team completed their third ground-up project for growing auto-service dealer Valvoline in Portage, MI. The 3,700 square foot building, designed by OH-based CESO, sits in the western part of the state, and incorporates three service bays, as well as a basement. Working in the auto world is an area our team excels in!

As our work in Nashville continues to grow, Vice President Brian Shockley has added to his team, necessitating more office space. Our southern group just moved into a new 3,500 square foot space, designed by Sorci & Swords, that also has some warehouse space. We love the conference room glass etched with our logo, as well as the colors that complement our brand. Congrats on your move, team- Keep up the good work!

MAGGIANO’S- Oakbrook, IL- 12,000 Sq. Ft

Who doesn’t dream of comfort food with cold winter days? We are loving the remodel of the Maggiano’s our Chicago team recently completed. The Italian restaurant received a front of house and exterior facelift, about 12,000 square feet which added some old school glamour to the chain, that is attached to the Oakbrook Mall! Texas- based Harrison was on point with the design upgrades.
