December News

“Something must end for something to begin…”

December, 2022

We hope you and yours enjoyed a magical Christmas, staying warm and safe from the winter blast that overtook the country.  Our team is busy post-holiday helping some of our Landlord clients “clean up” from frozen pipes, broken water lines, and heat failures, postponing tenants holiday return to the office for some.  On a positive note, we are so grateful for another year with amazing repeat clients, some great new ones, and a team that works so hard to meet the increasing challenges that chain supply and deadlines have brought. They continue to go above and beyond!

Our December was full of holiday gatherings, food, libations, games and fun.  It was great to take a short pause to celebrate the year and enjoy each other’s company.  Our Nashville and Chicago offices came to Indy to join us for safety training and company updates, and we always enjoy seeing the nearly 100 field members who spend all of their time on project sites. We were also proud to be recognized again by GC Magazine as a Top Contractor in the Indy market- thank you!!

As we look to 2023, we are cautiously optimistic that there will be some stability in material pricing and lead times, and we are not yet seeing signs of slowing down in the verticals which we work . We are looking forward to the surprises a new year always brings, knowing our team is capable and ready to handle whatever comes our way.

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year! If you have questions or are interested in working with our team, please contact Lauren Hughes.

SCOOTERS- Decatur, IN- 644 Sq. Ft.

Nothing sounds better during the coldest months of the year than a warm cup of joe! Our team just wrapped up our first project for Scooters Coffee in the NE Indiana town of Decatur. The drive-thru only coffee shop is just over 600 SF and was designed by Dallas-based GHA Architects. The small-town shop will open after the holidays, as the franchised group continues to grow.

STRETCHLAB- Indianapolis, IN- 2,000 Sq. Ft.

Continuing with the theme of wellness, we are so excited for our friends Stretch Lab, now open within Bottleworks Indy! The 2,000 square foot space, adjacent to the Living Room Theatre, is now full of flexologists stretching guests to their full potential. This was our second project with local owner Rod Julian, and his space was designed by the talented Progress Studio. We love working with repeat clients and working on projects that help others be better versions of themselves!

SPEC SUITE- Nashville, TN- 2,500 Sq. Ft.

Many landlords are continuing the trend of providing spec suite options for quick move-in tenants. Our Nashville team recently completed another 2,850 SF spec suite in the famous “Batman building” at 333 Commerce in downtown, with soaring views of the City from the 14th floor. For this spec suite, the architect ASD|Sky chose an open ceiling concept, providing a beautiful open industrial feel. In this same building, the team recently finished another spec suite, a marketing floor, common area upgrades and is working on a full floor remodel. The CBRE Project Management group oversees our team and the upgrades in this prestigious Class A building.
