TAKING TIME TO REST

As summer winds down, our team of over 200 associates continues to make progress on projects across the country — from ground ups to restaurants, and many office interiors that are bringing people back to the office. Each build reflects the hard work and dedication of the many people who bring these spaces to life.
With Labor Day weekend around the corner, it feels like the right time to pause and acknowledge that work is only possible because of the people behind it. Construction is demanding, and moments of rest are just as important as the milestones we celebrate. Whether you’re traveling, spending time with family, or simply catching your breath, we hope this holiday weekend gives you the chance to recharge.

R.T. Moore- Indianapolis, IN – 35,000 Sq. Ft.

After being in business for more than 70 years, Indianapolis-based mechanical contractor R.T. Moore needed more space due to continued growth. So they kept their production operations in their westside warehouse, but decided to purchase a 4-story office building on Indy’s northwest-side, and build out nearly 35,000 square feet to house their operations team! The two floors of office space was completely transformed with the help of Parallel Design Group, and reflects the home-grown business’ love of Indiana, with areas to congregate, meet, and grow.

CORPORATE OFFICE- Ft. Wayne, IN- 18,000 Sq. Ft.

It is always rewarding to see how spaces transform and evolve over time. What was once part of the General Electric plant in Fort Wayne, IN, is now a corporate office of over 18,000 square feet as part of the redeveloped Electric Works project that has breathed new life into the campus. International design firm Arcadis worked with a global business on a new space for their team, inclusive of new internal stairs and an ADA lift, reflecting the company’s strong brand. Office tenant improvement has been our longtime mainstay, and we worked with JLL’s Indy-based PDS team on this northern IN project.

MILKSHAKE FACTORY- Avon, IN – 1,750 Sq. Ft.

When the franchisees for Milkshake Factory opened their first location in Indiana in Nora, they knew they had hit a home run! What they didn’t know was that when they opened in Avon, it would be a grand slam! The tight-knit community is thrilled to have the sweet shop on their side of town, and the 1,750 square foot space has had lines out the door since their soft opening last week. NY-based I A- Interior Architects designed the brand’s second IN location, and we have no doubt that Milkshake Factory will continue to find new sweet spots around the state.

FARE- Chicago, IL – 1,100 Sq. Ft.

Our Chicago team has been honored to FARE– a sustainable, healthy food concept- grow to new areas of the City. The hip 1,100SF Logan Square location is situated on the mezzanine level and was designed by MAI Architects. We also completed a smaller project for FARE in the West Loop’s Riverside area this month as well. Several additional FARE restaurants are under construction and forthcoming!

SPEC SUITES- Franklin, TN – 14,000 Sq. Ft.

Having spaces available for a quick move-in is important to office landlords around the country. Our Nashville team continues to work with the Cushman & Wakefield construction management team down South and just completed nearly 14,000 square feet of spec suites and a corridor expansion at 7 Corporate Center in Franklin. They gutted and remodeled the entire space, designed by locally-based ASD|SKY.

VIVE COLLISION- Nutley, NJ – 14,000 Sq. Ft.

Work in the automotive space, from collision to oil change shops and dealerships- has long been one of our skill strengths. Our traveling team completed a 14,000 SF expansion for new client, Vive Collision, in the Newark suburb of Nutley, NJ. With increased service demands, Vive purchased the adjacent building and Salvatore Corvino designed the space to accommodate their growth.

THRIFTLOVE- Columbia, TN – 4,000 Sq. Ft.

Nonprofit work has been a longtime passion for our team. The TN office recently helped Thriftlove expand their sales floor by almost 4,000 square feet. The thrift store provides an employment platform for individuals with special needs or disabilities. One of our clients is on the Board for the nonprofit, and got our team involved in their special mission.
