New Beginnings and Goodbyes

August, 2022

It’s hard to believe the anticipated long Labor Day holiday weekend is nearly upon us, and another summer month has flown by.  Our month was full of charitable golf outings, sending kids off to college and preparing for a new Capitol baby that will arrive soon.  We also welcomed several new associates in our office and in the field, that we are grateful chose us for their new “home”.

Many of you know our longtime co-owner and Vice President, Terry Clark.  We sent him off in retirement style this month, celebrating his contributions to our team. He was humbled by the kind words from longtime clients, subcontractors and co-workers that have become good friends.  We wish Terry only the best as he spends more time with his family, on the links, and down South during the colder months.  His legacy will live on here at CCSI for a long time, and we are fortunate that his son Nathan is a part of our team.

We are featuring repeat clients as well as a few new ones this month, in our backyard and around the Midwest. Capitol is fortunate to have a team that takes the time and care to create long standing relationships with our clients and subs. If you have questions or are interested in working with our team, please contact Lauren Kriner!

COHATCH- Carmel, IN- 11,000 Sq. Ft.

Now open in the HEART of downtown Carmel, COhatch co-working space is already home to a variety of businesses and individuals working away from home. The former Carmel Antique Mall on Main Street was transformed into two stories and over 11,000 square feet of offices of all sizes and shapes, along with amenities and conference rooms. There are still a few spaces left for those interested! We are proud of our fifth buildout for COhatch, designed by Columbus-based WSA.

LOVESAC- Pittsburgh, PA- 1,600 Sq. Ft.

Our Chicago team completed their fourth project for growing furniture retailer Lovesac in the Bethel Park, PA mall of South Hills Village! The 1,600 square foot store is now open and was designed by N.J.-based WJCA. These projects are small but mighty and fun to work on!  Consumers love the flexibility that Lovesac offers them in building furniture to build their specific needs.

VISION LOFT- Indianapolis, IN- 7,000 Sq. Ft.

We put the finishing touches on Vision Loft’s second location in Indy this month, and they’ve already been host to their first event! The 7,000 square foot locally owned venue will be making its mark as part of the newly renovated downtown Stutz building. Delv Design worked with the owners to create the beautiful space that will no doubt achieve as much if not more success than the first Vision Loft! It’s been a joy to work with this team on bringing their “Vision” to life!

STARBUCKS- Bloomington, IN- 2,300 Sq. Ft.

There can never be enough coffee on a Monday morning, or in a college town, so it’s only appropriate that the new Starbucks in Bloomington, IN at the SR 37 & SR 45/46 interchange opened this Monday! Our team completed the ground-up shell and interior for the Starbucks team. The 2,300 square foot cafe with drive-thru was designed by Ohio-based Interbrand. The Starbucks team continues to keep us busy with their growth!

FARE- Chicago, IL- 2,500 Sq. Ft.

Simply prepared, wholesome food will be available at FARE’s newest location, opening tomorrow in the heart of the Chicago on S. Wacker! The 2,500 square foot restaurant offers dine-in or to-go meals that you’ll feel good about. Chicago-based MAI Architects designed the welcoming space.  Our Chicago team continues to be a leader in restaurant construction in their market!

OGLETREE DEAKINS- Indianapolis, IN- 27,100 Sq. Ft.

Led by construction manager JLL, our tenant improvement team completed a two-floor, 27,100 square foot office buildout for international law firm Ogletree Deakins in REI Real Estate’s 300 North Meridian tower in downtown Indianapolis. The law firm’s new office encompasses both private offices, open workspaces and a variety of break rooms, designed by international design firm ASD|SKY.
